Brief Profile
Mr. Prakash Babu is a graduate in nursing with first class and distinction from the University of Hyderabad, India. He has also completed Master of Public Health (MPH) from the School of Medical Sciences, University of Hyderabad, where he obtained a CGPA of 9.19 out of 10.00. Currently, he is enrolled in an Integrated MPhil/PhD programme in Public Health at the Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai.

He has obtained the University Grants Commission’s Junior Research fellowship and qualified the National Eligibility Test for Assistant Professorship in Social Medicine and Community Health in the year 2015.

During the course of his education he was associated in multiple research projects with prestigious organizations like the George Institute for Global Health, Indian Institute of Dalit Studies and Tata Institute of Social Sciences.

His published work includes original research articles in peer reviewed international and national journals as well as a book chapter. In addition, he has presented papers, attended and organized workshops and training programmes. Some of hisareas of research interest includeEpidemiology, Primary Health Care, Community Health Workers, NCDs and Social determinants of Health.
