Brief Profile: Dr. Ravi Kumar Kanaparthi received M.Sc. (2005) and Ph.D. (2011) from University of Hyderabad.  Subsequently, he joined in CSIR-Indian Institute of Chemical Technology (IICT), Hyderabad, India as a Post-Doctoral Fellow and worked for two years. He joined in the Department of Chemistry as Assistant Professor in September, 2013. He received Gold Medal from the University of Hyderabad, CSIR- Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and Senior Research Fellowship (SRF), and DST-Young Scientist award in 2013. He has published over twenty international/ national research articles in peer-reviewed journals and presented his research findings in various national and international conferences. He is the reviewer of leading scientific journals of various publishers which include American Chemical Society (ACS), Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC), Elsevier and John-Wiley & Sons.

His main research focuses on harvesting the solar energy, materials synthesis, photovoltaic& optoelectronic devices and nanomaterials. At present, he is actively involved in developing new efficient sensitizers for dye sensitized solar cells (DSSCs) based on tetrapyrrolic (porphyrin, phthalocynine and corroles) systems and fluorescent organic molecules. He is an expertise in the fabrication of DSSCs, organic and metal nanoparticles, optical & electron microscopy, studying the ultra-fast dynamics (electron and energy transfer reactions)by steady-state and time-resolved fluorescence techniques.
