Welcome to the Malaviya Mission Teacher Training Centre (MMTTC) at Central University of Kerala, where we are committed to empowering educators through innovative and transformative training programs. At MMTTC, we focus on fostering continuous professional development by providing cutting-edge, motivational, and forward-thinking training sessions. ABOUT MALAVIYA MISSION TEACHER TRAINING CENTER - CENTRAL UNIVERSITY OF KERALA
In alignment with the goals of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, and to ensure optimal utilization of infrastructure, financial, and human resources, the Ministry of Education, Government of India, launched the Malaviya Mission Teacher Training Centres on September 5, 2023 (Teachers’ Day). The initiative aims to strengthen synergy and integration between Human Resource Development Centres (HRDCs) and Pandit Madan Mohan Malaviya National Mission on Teachers and Teaching (PMMMNMTT) Centres. The Malaviya Mission Teacher Training Centre (MMTTC) at Central University of Kerala, established in 2023, has been actively providing professional development opportunities to college and university teachers across India through Faculty Induction Programmes, Refresher Courses, and Short Term Courses. MMTTC also offers Professional Development Courses for non-academic staff, Interaction Programmes for Ph.D. scholars, and National-level seminars covering a broad spectrum of disciplines. MMTTC is equipped with modern, tech-savvy classrooms, a well-maintained computer lab, and a resourceful library, ensuring an enriching learning environment. The center also provides a full-fledged Guest House to accommodate participants comfortably during their stay. Through its comprehensive training programmes, MMTTC is dedicated to playing a pivotal role in achieving the real goals of higher education, in line with the vision of NEP 2020, and contributing significantly to the professional growth of educators across the country.
ABOUT CENTRAL UNIVERSITY OF KERALA
The Central University of Kerala (CUK) is one of the 15 central universities established under the Central Universities Act, 2009 (Act No. 25 of 2009) by the Parliament of India, with a mission to promote excellence in teaching and research. Located in Kasaragod, the northernmost district of Kerala, the university’s main campus is situated at Periya, approximately 13.5 km from Kanhangad and 24 km south of Kasaragod town. Founded in 2009, the Central University of Kerala is built on the noble vision of "Caring Wisdom" and is committed to academic excellence, social responsibility, moral integrity, and intellectual and spiritual enlightenment, as outlined in its vision statement. The university offers 27 postgraduate programmes and 22 research programmes, with an enrolment of around 2,500 students. The university's permanent campus, known as Thejaswini Hills, is located on a 310-acre site in Periya, allocated by the Government of Kerala in 2012. The built-up area of the campus spans an impressive 658,400 square feet, providing state-of-the-art facilities and infrastructure for academic and research activities. With its steadfast focus on knowledge creation and dissemination, the Central University of Kerala is dedicated to fostering an environment of intellectual growth, innovation, and community development.
