Memorandum of Understanding signed by Central University of Kerala
The Central University of Kerala as part of its objectives and strategic plans has entered into Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with various institutions to establish cooperation in research and education across the disciplines. The MOUs were signed to improve cooperation in student/faculty exchange, undertake research, cultural and academic activities and facilitate sharing of knowledge and research facilities. The University has entered into MOUs with Government, Private, Cooperative, academic and research institutions. The following are the MOU’s signed by Central University of Kerala.
1. Central Institute of Brakishwater Acquculture (CIBA)
The Central Institute of Brackishwater Aquaculture (CIBA), headquartered in Chennai, India serves as the nodal agency for the development of brackishwater aquaculture in the country. The Central University of Kerala has signed an MOU with CIBA. Under the MOU, the Department of Zoology, Central University of Kerala will partner with CIBA in research and academic activities. 2. Aquaculture Development Cooperative Society (ADCOS)
Aquaculture Development Cooperative Society (ADCOS) is the cooperative society of the farmers involved in aquaculture in Kerala. The Central University of Kerala has signed an MOU with ADCOS. Under the MOU, the Department of Zoology, Central University of Kerala will partner with ADCOS in research, academic and extension activities.
3. Indian Institute of Public Health, Gandhi Nagar
The Indian Institute of Public Health (IIPH), Gandhinagar is one of the premier institutions for public health research and training in India. The Central University of Kerala has signed an MOU with IIPH, Gandhinagar to cooperate in Public Health training, research and other joint programmes. 4. Institute of Applied Mathematical Research, Karelian Research Centre of Russian Academy of Sciences (IAMR)
Central University of Kerala signed an MOU with Institute of Applied Mathematical research (IAMR). The Department of Mathematics, Central University of Kerala will coordinate with IAMR for undertaking academic and research activities. Miklens Bio Pvt. Ltd. is a prominent private player the field of agricultural innovation and sustainable cultivation. 6. The North Malabar Chamber of Commerce
North Malabar Chamber of Commerce (NMCC), Kannur is an ISO 9001:2008 certified organization playing a pivotal role in trade, commerce and industry in the North Malabar region of Kerala. The Central University of Kerala singed an MOU with NMCC. The Department of Commerce, Central University of Kerala will partner with NMCC to undertake academic and extension activities. 7. National Institute of Disaster Management (NIDM)
The National Institute of Disaster Management (NIDM) was constituted under an Act of Parliament with a vision to play the role of a premier institute for capacity development in India. The NIDM has performed a crucial role in bringing disaster risk reduction to the forefront of the national agenda. The Central University of Kerala has signed an MOU with NIDM. The Department of Geology, Central University of Kerala will coordinate with NIDM in conducting academic training, research and extension activities.
