PRERANA is a unique and dynamic initiative of Central University of Kerala in promoting academic excellence by drawing out the best potentials from learners. It is an efficacious platform for motivating, encouraging and supporting students to think critically, creatively and innovatively. PRERANA aims to host competitions and programs periodically for enhancing the academic as well as soft skills which are very essential for moulding the learners to blend themselves into the global workforce and also help in the sustainable growth of the nation and the world.

AIM:

Promoting academic excellence by inspiring the students to develop confidence in their abilities and skills, so that they will be able to explore their interests and grow in self-esteem.

OBJECTIVES:

• Support the students to identify their interests and to express themselves in a better way.
• Help the students to develop their minds and give them an opportunity to advance their skills and talents.
• Create a competitive environment and help them to learn time management, develop organizational skills and improve self-confidence.
• Expose the students to new activities and to new opportunities.
• Facilitate the development of social skills and relationships, and enhance neighbourhood cohesion.

FACILITATION:

PRERANA will facilitate the above objectives by conducting competitions, training programmes, and other inspiring events, in association with the Placement Cell, NSS Cell and the Dean, Students Welfare.

• Periodic activities will be conducted like competitions on essay writing, quizzes, elocution, debates, Just-A Minute, etc. on general topics and current affairs.
• Training programmes will be conducted to facilitate the students to improve their organizational skills, social skills, inter-personal skills and self-confidence.
• Events will be organized both at the inter-departmental level within the University and also inter-collegiate and inter-University levels.
