India proved its leadership to the world by assuming the presidency of G20, says Prof. H. Venkateshwarlu


As the country steps into the golden period of Amrut Kaal spanning the next 25 years India has proven its leadership to the world by taking up the presidency of G20, said Prof. H. Venkateshwarlu, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor in his address during the Republic Day event conducted at the University Campus. The coming years also offer exciting opportunities, complex challenges, technology revolutions, and changes in the mindset of people, he added. 

 

'This is a special Republic Day for the country, as we are getting into Amruth Kaal, spanning the next 25 years, after completing 75 years of Independence. This should be a golden period but also a challenging one,' he said. "We have a big agenda, the agenda of achieving a just and equal society, a happy society, a peaceful society. Sustainable development in all spheres of Human and Environmental activity is the need of the hour, he added.

 

Reminding the role of universities in facilitating and supporting the accomplishment of these goals through educational vision and strategy Prof. Venkateshwarlu said that the NEP 2020 is a game changer in this direction, and it largely addresses the quality issues in Education by providing a comprehensive outlook, right from School Education. The Vice Chancellor also congratulated the teachers and staff for making strides in the NAAC rankings.

 

Students from 20 states in their traditional attire participated in the Republic Day event and also conveyed their greetings in their respective languages. The Vice Chancellor also distributed the Rajbhasha Shreshtha Puraskar to those who have worked hard to implement the Official Language Hindi in the University. Registrar Dr. M. Muralidharan Nambiar, Finance Officer Dr. Jojo K. Joseph, Controller of Examinations (i/c) Prof. M.N. Musthafa, Dean of Student Welfare Prof. K. Arunkumar, Deans, Heads of Departments attended the event which was organized under the leadership of DSW in collaboration with NSS.
