The Central University Of Kerala has organised a series of inter departmental academic competitions under the banner Prerana, an initiative by the honorable Vice chancellorProf. H. Venkateshwaralu . The events for Prerna 2022-23 session consisted of letter writing competition, essay writing competition, Just a Minute, presentation of innovative ideas, quiz, elocution and cognitive ability test followed by an inspirational lecture.
The Prerana Inspirational Lecture was held at Sabarmati Hall in the presence of Staff members and students. The event started off with the university anthem and a welcome address from Prerana Convener Dr. Syam Prasad, followed by a presidential address from Prerana Chairman Dr. K. Arun Kumar.
VC incharge Dr. Vincent Mathew delivered the inaugural address. The crux of the event was the two motivational speeches delivered by the Guest of Honour Mr. Athul S Nath and the Guest Speaker K. Sethuraman IPS.
Mr. Athul S Nath, the RDO and Sub Divisional Magistrate of Kasargod, inspired the students by sharing his own personal college experiences. Following his speech, the City Police Commissioner of Kochi, K Sethuraman IPS further inspired the students through his captivating speech.
The event came to its end with a vote of thanks by Dr. Anusree Sreenivasan from the department of linguistics, followed by the National anthem.
