Central University of Kerala and NIT Warangal are jointly organizing one-week hands on training program “Physico-Chemical Characterization of Functional Materials (PCCFM-2023)” on sophisticated analytical instruments from 17-08-2023 to 23-08-2023 for the research scholars, students, and faculties of various parts of the country as part of the Synergistic Training Program Utilizing the Scientific and Technological Infrastructure (STUTI) sponsored by DST, GoI. This training program jointly organized by the Department of Chemistry & Department of Physics and faculties from both departments are handling the hands training sessions for one week. For this training program, thirty-five (35) participants were selected after rigours scrutiny and they will stay on the campus for one week for the hands on training. The program has been inaugurated on 17-08-2023 by Prof. Vincent Mathew, Director of Research and Dean, School of Physical Sciences and he emphasized that this type hands on training programs are need at the hour to achieve the national motto of Skill India. Prof. Venkata Sreelakshmi Head, Central Research Instrumentation Facility, NIT- Warangal also graced the inaugural program and detailed about various STUTI programs organized across the country by the NIT-Warangal which is one of the PMUs of DST STUTI project. She also emphasized the importance of STUTI program in national building in terms of human resources and its knowledge capacity. Prof. K. Muruga Poopathi Raja, Head Department of Chemistry and Dr. Ravi Kumar Kanaparthi STUTI Program Coordinator, Mr. Harish Madupu, Technical Officer, CRIF NIT-Warangal were also present in the inaugural program along with faculties of various departments and students of the University.
