International students and faculty return after visit to the Central University of Kerala


International students and teachers who visited the Central University of Kerala returned with new experiences and knowledge. Prof. Kaley Mason, Prof. Shivani Joshi, and 12 Liberal Arts students from Lewis & Clark College in Portland, US reached the Periye campus last Monday as part of the student exchange program. The team visited various departments and interacted with students and teachers. The visit was organised by the Department of International Relations and Politics and the American Institute of Indian Studies.

The group that met Vice Chancellor (i/c) Prof. K.C. Baiju said that India and Kerala surprised them and gave them unforgettable experiences. The academic activities of the university is excellent. The visit helped them to know more and understand the education system of India, they added. Prof. Baiju said that it is necessary to have such interactions in the academic field and the exchange of new thoughts and ideas will be possible through this. He also stated that the university will continue providing such platforms for this. Head of the Department Prof. R. Suresh, Assistant Professor Dr. Reinhart Philip spoke. To commemorate the visit, teachers and students also planted mango saplings on the campus.
