National Seminar on Public Health Practice: Experience, Skills and Challenges


The Central University of Kerala organised a National Seminar on Public Health Practice: Experience, Skills, and Challenges, facilitated by the Department of Public Health and Community Medicine. Hon'ble Vice Chancellor (I/c) Prof. K.C. Baiju inaugurated the seminar. Prof. D. Govinda Rao, Dean of the School of Medicine and Public Health, provided an introductory lecture, and Prof. Mathew George, Head of the Department, also contributed to the discourse. The seminar featured a presentation by Dr. C.K. Jagadeesan (EX-Deputy DHS (Plg) and Nodal Officer of Aardram Mission) on ‘Planning and Implementation of Aardram Mission: A Health Systems Perspective’. Dr. Shailendra Kumar B. Hegde (Program Director, JHPIEGO, Bangalore) shared insights on ‘Public Health Practice: Experience of the Development Sector'. The event included an engaging discussion with active student participation. Associate Professor Dr. Praveen Balabaskara Nina extended a welcome, and Assistant Professor Dr. Sibasis Hense proposed vote of thanks.
