CUK Celebrates National Youth Day

The National Youth Day celebration was organised at the Central University of Kerala under the auspices of the National Service Scheme with various programmes. Hon'ble Vice Chancellor (I/c) Prof. K.C. Baiju, Registrar Dr. M. Muralidharan Nambiar, Dean of Student Welfare Muthukumar Muthuchamy, Faculty Members, Students, and Staff offered flowers at the Vivekananda statue on the campus. Speaking during the event, the Hon'ble Vice Chancellor (I/c) emphasised that Swami Vivekananda's life and thoughts are an example and inspiration for the youth. Prof. K.C. Baiju added that his calls for a society free from exploitation and discrimination should be embraced by all.

A cycle rally was held, flagged off by the Hon'ble Vice Chancellor (I/c) Prof. K.C. Baiju.  A quiz competition was also organised for the students as part of the celebration, and Madhav Kumar Jha, K. Muhammed Shahid (International Relations and Politics), S. Sruthi, M.G. Gopika (Chemistry), Neha Bhargava, and Neeraj Mandloi (Yoga Studies) secured the first, second, and third positions, respectively. The students lit lamps at Vivekananda Circle, and the event was led by Dr. S. Anbazhagi, Dr. Reinhart Philip, and Dr. Chandrasekharan Melath.
