CUK Launches Skill Training Programme for First-Year Social Work Students

The Department of Social Work, Central University of Kerala launched a one-week skill training programme for MSW first-year students. The programme was inaugurated by the Hon'ble Vice Chancellor (i/c) Prof. T. Dennis Thomas. He emphasised the importance of practical skills in social work. He also highlighted the university’s commitment to providing a comprehensive education that goes beyond theoretical knowledge. 

Prof. M.R. Biju, Dean, School of Social Sciences, was the special guest for the event. Dr.Jilly John, Assistant Professor, delivered the welcome address  Dr. Lakshmi, Assistant Professor, proposed vote of thanks. The skill training programme aims to provide students with hands-on experience and valuable insights from experienced professionals in the field of social work.
