The Central University of Kerala commemorated the 78th Independence Day with a series of events at the Periye Campus. The celebrations began with the Hon’ble Vice Chancellor (i/c) Prof. Vincent Mathew hoisting the National Flag in front of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Bhawan and delivering the Independence Day address.

The event was attended by Registrar Dr. M. Muralidharan Nambiar, Controller of Examinations Dr. R. Jayaprakash, Dean Academic Prof. Amruth G. Kumar, Dean Students' Welfare Prof. Rajendra Pilankatta, as well as Deans of various Schools, Heads of Departments, students, faculty members, and staff. The program concluded with patriotic songs performed by students.

As part of the event, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor (i/c) participated in planting saplings. Celebrations were also conducted at the Thiruvalla Campus and the Capital Centre, Thiruvananthapuram.
