International Seminar on AI and Large Language Models for Dravidian Languages Concludes


The two-day International Seminar on Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Large Language Models (LLMs) for Dravidian languages, organised by the Department of Linguistics concluded at the Central University of Kerala. The event was held in collaboration with the Natyarathnam Kannan Pattali Smaraka Kathakali Trust, Aravath, Kasaragod, and the Linguistic Diversity Study Centre, Kannur University.

The valedictory ceremony was presided over by Prof. Alagu Manickavelu, Director of IQAC. The event was inaugurated by Prof. Joseph Koyippally, Professor and Dean of the School of Languages and Comparative Literature. Prof. A.M. Sreedharan, Director of the Linguistic Diversity Centre, Kannur University; Dr. S. Thennarasu, Head of the Department of Linguistics; and Assistant Professors Dr. Anusree Sreenivasan, Dr. Palanirajan, and Dr. Zam Ngaih Cing spoke during the event.

The seminar brought together a diverse group of participants, including linguists, computer science enthusiasts, and researchers from various fields. It provided a platform for rich discussions on the integration of AI in the study and preservation of Dravidian languages.
