The two-day International Seminar on "Cultural Diversity and Preservation of Intangible Cultural Heritage" started at the Central University of Kerala. Prof. Vincent Mathew, Vice Chancellor (i/c), inaugurated the seminar. The event is jointly organized by the Department of Malayalam, Central University of Kerala, Folk Land Trikaripur, Kannur University Linguistic Diversity Study Center, and the Natya Rathnam Kannan Pattali Memorial Kathakali Trust.
Dr. V. Jayarajan presided over the inaugural session, with Dr. A. Ashokan as the chief guest. Dr. B. Venugopal delivered the keynote address. Other notable speakers included Dr. V. Balakrishnan, Prof. Joseph Koyippally, Dr. R. Chandrabose, and Dr. A.M. Sreedharan.
The first day featured research presentations by experts such as Prof. Anjanapuri, Dr. Savithri N.V., Dr. V.P. Pragathi, Michel Lestrehan, Dr. Park Seong Yong, and Sarithamol T.S. Dr. V. Rajeev moderated the discussions.
