As part of the celebration of the birth anniversary of freedom fighter and tribal leader Bhagwan Birsa Munda, observed as Tribal Pride Day, the Central University of Kerala honoured tribal students for their outstanding academic achievements. Registrar Dr. M. Muraleedharan Nambiar distributed the awards during a ceremony held at Sabarmati Hall, where he also inaugurated the valedictory session of the programs organized in honour of Bhagwan Birsa Munda Jayanti.

Prof. Rajendra Pilankatta, the Dean Students' Welfare, presided over the event. Dean Academic, Prof. Amruth G. Kumar, Controller of Examinations, Dr. R. Jayaprakash, and Placement Cell Director, Prof. T.G. Saji, also addressed the gathering. Programme Convener Dr. T.K. Aneesh Kumar welcomed and Nodal Officer Dr. Gujjetti Tirupathi proposed the vote of thanks.
