The Department of Social Work, Central University of Kerala (CUK), organized a two-day national workshop titled 'Empowering Social Work Students through Innovative Field Work Module'. The event aimed to equip social work students with advanced fieldwork skills to tackle evolving social challenges.

The workshop was inaugurated with an address by Prof. Rajendra Pilankatta, Dean Students' Welfare, CUK. He emphasized the critical need for innovative fieldwork approaches to address complex and dynamic social issues. Renowned academicians Prof. Archana Kaushik from Delhi University and Prof. Nalini R from Pondicherry University led insightful sessions during the workshop, sharing their expertise and practical knowledge.

The inaugural session began with a welcome speech by Miss Krishna Priya, a second-year MSW student, followed by an introduction to the programme by Dr. Jilly John, the Programme Convenor and faculty member in the Department of Social Work. Dr. Nagalingam, Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Social Work delivered the presidential address. The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Miss Nandana A, a first-year MSW student.
