National Youth Day Celebrated at the Central University of Kerala


The Central University of Kerala celebrated National Youth Day under the auspices of the National Service Scheme (NSS) with a series of programs aimed at commemorating the ideals of Swami Vivekananda.

Floral tributes were offered at the Vivekananda statue on campus by Hon’ble Vice Chancellor (i/c) Prof. Joseph Koyippally, Registrar Dr. M. Muralidharan Nambiar, Dean Students’ Welfare Prof. Rajendra Plankatta, IQAC Director Prof. A. Manickavelu, NSS Programme Coordinator Dr. S. Anbazhagi, Head of the Department of Yoga Dr. Subrahmanya Pailoor, along with faculty members, students, and staff.

In his keynote address, the Hon’ble Vice Chancellor (i/c) highlighted Swami Vivekananda's enduring legacy as a symbol of youth empowerment and cultural pride, encouraging students to embody his values and ideals. As part of the celebration, Yoga and Recitation Competitions were organized for students, showcasing their talents and enthusiasm.
