Students of Paravanadukkam Model Residential School visited CUK as part of the Tribal Higher Education and Interactive Ventures for Excellence (THRIVE) Project, implemented by the state government for the upliftment of model residential school children.
A total of 53 students and teachers visited the Periya campus to gain first-hand knowledge about higher education institutions and opportunities. During an interaction with the students, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor (i/c) Prof. Joseph Koyippally encouraged them to dream big, emphasizing the importance of setting goals and working towards them.
Head of the Department of Education, Prof. V.P. Joshith, Prof. M.N. Mohamedunni Elias Musthafa, Thrive District Coordinator Sreedha, Paravanadukkam MRS Senior Superintendent Prasanna, and teachers Karthika, Kavitha, Rajitha, and Abdul Shukkur addressed the gathering. Dr. Bindu T.V. delivered the welcome address, and Sreerag K. Unni proposed a vote of thanks.
Students from the Integrated Teacher Education Program (ITEP) are volunteering for the THRIVE Project, conducting life skills and soft skills sessions for the Model Residential School students, further strengthening their exposure to higher education and personal development.
