The Department of Social Work at the Central University of Kerala hosted a conference on "Exploring Transition in Social Work Practice Among Youth in the Developing World." The event was inaugurated by Prof. Vincent Mathew, Hon. Vice Chancellor (i/c), who underscored the growing stress and challenges faced by today's youth. He emphasized the need for innovative social work approaches and skill development to effectively address these issues and ensure a sustainable future for young individuals.

Prof. M. R. Biju, Dean of the School of Social Sciences, delivered the Presidential Address, while Dr. Nagalingam M., Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Social Work, gave a special address. The keynote address was delivered by Dr. Lee Jungup, Associate Professor, Department of Social Work, National University of Singapore. Dr. Jilly John, the Organizing Secretary, extended a warm welcome to the participants.
