Central University of Kerala Shines at Inter-University National Youth Festival


The Central University of Kerala (CUK) performed excellently at the 38th Inter-University National Youth Festival, securing top positions in spot photography and folk orchestra. The festival, hosted by Amity University, New Delhi, witnessed the participation of over 2,500 competitors from 148 universities across the country.

Arunraj, a student from the Department of Environmental Science, clinched first place in the spot photography competition. Additionally, the university's folk orchestra team, comprising Akshay R.K., Chandana Nath, Sooryakanth N.M., Manikanta S., Parvathy S., Krishnadev M. Madanan, Libin K.P.V., Malavika Udayan, and Sariga R., secured third place, showcasing their exceptional musical talent.

Assistant Professor Dr. Kavya P. Hegde and Assistant Cultural Coordinator Dr. Rajendra Baikady accompanied the students to the festival. The participation was meticulously coordinated by Cultural Coordinator Dr. Sravana K., Assistant Cultural Coordinator Dr. Bindu T.V., and Dean Students’ Welfare Prof. Rajendra Pilangatta.

Vice Chancellor (i/c) Prof. Vincent Mathew congratulated the winners, emphasizing that their achievements bring immense pride to the university. He wished them continued success in their future endeavours, encouraging them to further excel in cultural and artistic pursuits.
