Six-Day International Workshop on Finite Element Methods Begins at Central University of Kerala

The Department of Mathematics, Central University of Kerala, inaugurated a six-day international workshop on Finite Element Methods. The event was formally opened by Prof. Vincent Mathew, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor (i/c), who underscored the importance of finite element methods in addressing complex mathematical and engineering challenges.

Dr. Shaini P., Head of the Department, welcomed the gathering, highlighting the role of advanced mathematical techniques in research and real-world applications. Eminent academicians Prof. E. Natarajan (IIST Trivandrum) and Dr. Barani Balan (Central University of Tamil Nadu) are leading the sessions.

The workshop, coordinated by Dr. Gnanvel S., Assistant Professor, has drawn 31 participants from institutions across India. It aims to provide in-depth insights into the theoretical and computational aspects of finite element methods, including coding implementations. Ms. Uma M. R., a Research Scholar, proposed the vote of thanks.
