The Department of Geology is organising the 6th Rock Deformation and Structures (RDS-VI) in virtual mode from 8th to 10th October 2021. The Rock Deformation and Structure (RDS) is a biennial conference which started in 2010 under the under the aegis of Structural Geology and Tectonic Studies Group of India (SGTSGI), which is an informal association of researchers working in the field of structural geology and tectonics and it is also Affiliated to the International Union of Geological Sciences (IUGS). During the 5th RDS in Delhi University, the SGTSGI has decided to conduct the next conference (RDS-VI, 2020) at Central University of Kerala, Kasaragod, in October 2020. However, Due to the COVID 19 pandemic, the 6th RDS was postponed to 2021 October.  Considering the prevailing pandemic condition, SGTSGI has decided to conduct the RDS-VI in virtual mode. Being the convener of the 6th Rock Deformation and Structures (RDS-VI).
