Will join hands with society to develop life skills of new generation, says CUK Vice-Chancellor

Periye: Asserting the commitment of the Central University of Kerala in nation-building, Vice-Chancellor Prof. H. Venkateshwarlu said that the university will join hands with society to help the younger generation to develop life skills and to face the challenges of the modern-day. He was speaking during the inaugural ceremony of a training program for NCC cadets on life skills led by E. Sreedharan Centre for Life Skills Education.

 

"Life skills are essential for success in life and work. It was recognizing this, the Central University of Kerala started certificate courses in this field. The University will continue working hand in hand with the community to enhance the leadership skills and capabilities of the new generation," Prof. Venkateshwarlu said.

 

The training program is being conducted in collaboration with the Payyannur based NCC 32 Kerala Battalion. Colonel Y. Vijayakumar, Commanding Officer, 32 Kerala Battalion was the chief guest. Dean Academic Prof. Amrut G. Kumar, Centre Director Prof. M.N. Mustafa, and Joint Director Dr. K. Tiyagu spoke during the ceremony.

 

The duration of the training course is 20 hours that are offered both online and in person. More than 2,000 people will be trained in various phases. The training covers areas such as self-recognition, communication skills enhancement, effective interaction with others, stress management training, and training courses in the use of technology for modern work.
