Kasaragod: Applications are invited from the eligible Scheduled Caste candidates for the admission of free coaching for Civil Service Examination at the Dr. Ambedkar Centre of Excellence (DACE) at the Central University of Kerala. Applications can be submitted from July 1 to 25.

The total number of seats is 100, of which 33 per cent seats are reserved for girls. Admission will be based on the marks in an entrance examination which will be held on August 21. The result will be announced on the 29th. Classes start on October 1st. The application form is available on the University website www.cukerala.ac.in.

Applications should be addressed to the Program Coordinator, Dr. Ambedkar Centre of Excellence (DACE), Central University of Kerala, Periya PO, Kasaragod, 671320. Applicants must have a degree or equivalent qualification. The minimum age is 21 and the maximum is 37 years. The training will be led by selected teachers. There will also be special sessions with experts and former and current IAS officers.

Dr. Ambedkar Centres of Excellence were announced by the Central Government this year for preparing SC students for competitive examinations. Centres have been sanctioned in 31 universities across the country. Financial assistance is provided by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment.
