Periya: In a major achievement, the Central University of Kerala (CUK) secured 11th rank in Outlook ICARE Central University Ranking 2022. 

The Central University of Kerala, Kasaragod, came into being in 2009 under the Central Universities Act 2009 (Parliament Act No. 25 of 2009). The University is founded on the noble vision of a ‘Caring Wisdom’ and is guided by the lofty ideals of academic and social commitment, moral steadfastness and intellectual and spiritual enlightenment, as reflected in the vision statement. 

Responding to the news, Hon'ble Vice-Chancellor Prof. H. Venkateshwarlu said that this is the victory of the CUK family comprising all teaching and non-teaching staff of the University. He said that the same will boost the morale of the University in further reaching heights beholding academic and social welfare oriented education that will not only produce a generation of educated citizens but also a generation of youth committed to nation building.
