• To disseminate and advance knowledge by providing instructional and research facilities in such branches of learning as it may deem fit;
• To make special provisions for integrated courses in humanities, social sciences, science and technology in its educational programmes;
• To take appropriate measures for promoting innovations in teaching-learning process and inter-disciplinary studies and research;
• To educate and train manpower for the development of the country;
• To establish linkages with industries for the promotion of science and technology;
• To pay special attention to the improvement of the social and economic conditions and welfare of the people, their intellectual, academic and cultural development.

      Keeping the objectives as enumerated in the Act in mind, the Central University of Kerala is committed to provide instructional and research facilities in all suitable and relevant branches of learning. Special provisions shall be made for integrated courses in Humanities, Social Sciences, Science & Technology in our academic programmes. Interdiscipliniarity will be promoted in the academic courses and research. Innovations in modern teaching-learning process will be implemented, avoiding rigidity and exclusion in extending the borders of learning and research resources. We shall educate and train the manpower for the development of the country; establish linkages with industries for promoting science and technology. The activities of the University will be planned in order to contribute to the improvement of the social and economic conditions of the people by developing their intellectual, academic and cultural resources.
