Mission and Goals

The mission of the School of education is to conduct applied and empirical research and teacher education programmes for teachers working in various educational institutions starting from primary schools to higher education institutions to improve the quality of teaching and learning.

Goals of the School of Education are as follows:

  • To promote integrated study programmes in teacher education

  • Conduct research in areas related to pedagogy and educational administration to inform and improve practitioner leadership skills and impact policy for such improvements.

  • Provide professional development for the improvement of school and territory level pedagogic and administrative practices.

  • Explore the development of a programme on Curriculum research, policy and educational development

  • Seek grants and contracts from public and private entities to provide evaluation and assessment services.

  • Conduct and disseminate research on best practices for the improvement of pedagogic and administrative practice.
